DM Joinery was founded in 2016 when I restarted an old career. I began my carpentry life when I was 16 years old as an apprentice in Sunderland fitting kitchens and bathrooms. After this, I then had a complete change of direction and trained to be an actor which brought me to London as well as travelling the world performing in many theatres and on screen. After 10 years I decided it was time to take my final bow and go back to my first love. I am truly passionate about creating good quality built-in furniture and storage and always strive to improve and adapt. I do however still dabble in the entertainment industry as a scenic carpenter from time to time. I’ve had the privilege of creating some beautiful TV and movie sets as well as music videos for big pop stars and commercials.
